A massive thank you to all our supporters at the Paper Plane Challenge!
We couldn’t have done it without all of our AMAZING volunteers! Thank you everybody for your support.
Here is a little bit of information about the incredible companies that helped us today:
CleverPatch is Australia’s most creative online store with over 4,000 products and 1,500 craft ideas they have everything you need to flex your creative muscles. CleverPatch supplied all the paper for the Paper Plane Challenge – so if you liked how it folded, head over to their website for all your paper, cover paper and cardboard needs!
The NSW Science Teacher’s Association is passionate about all things science! We created the Young Scientist competition to inspire inquiry based learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths! Today at the Paper Plane Challenge inquiring young minds learnt all about the aerodynamics of paper plane folding! What did it take to make your plane stay aloft for the longest time? Or what special folds made your plane go the distance?
Our captain for the event Dylan from Paper Pilots brought his amazing enthusiasm to the event. Dylan is an inspiring public speaker and also is available to hire for ‘FLIGHT SCHOOL’ which is an interactive workshop that focuses on ‘forces’ and is closely aligned with the National Science and Technology Curriculum!
A big thank you goes out to our partners at Crayons. Thank you for your generous supply of educational toys for the regional awards! What an amazing resource for educators and parents alike!
Thank you to the University of Sydney for hosting the event in their purpose built Brydens Stadium! What a fantastic location, it was the perfect setting for an event focused on challenging young people!
